The Queens Hotel is housed in a handsome, traditional building with an immaculately restored white Portland stone façade. In the lobby, the opulence and glamour of 1930s Art Deco design has been renovated with equal care. More modern in style, the 217 guestrooms are enhanced by dark wooden furniture, complemented by earth-toned fabrics. They also feature wireless Internet access, mini-bar, satellite television and air conditioning. All are clean and well maintained, as are the en suite bathrooms with power shower.
Although the Queens Restaurant is a formal dining room, it has a convivial atmosphere. It specialises in traditional and contemporary English and European cuisine. Local ingredients used include Theakston's beer in the beer battered fish and Morecambe Bay shrimps in the risotto. There’s also a chic yet cosy bar offering a wide range of drinks and snacks.
